BIOGRAPHY

Ryan Skiles began playing keyboards at the age of 4 and never stopped.  All throughout his youth he played in and out of school bands. After high school, he attended Azusa Pacific University where he received his Bachelor’s degree with dual emphasis in Commercial Keyboard Performance and Commercial Arranging in 2008 and a Masters degree in Piano Performance in 2012. Ryan has since been playing, composing, arranging and musically directing professionally.  Ryan has performed all over the world for crowds of over 30,000 people.

Ryan travels as MD/keyboardist for piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick who has been featured on National and International television programs and has helped raise record amounts of money for charities around the world, by performing, inspiring and educating.  Ryan can be seen on the Ethan’s PBS special currently airing nationwide.

Ryan has been fortunate enough to work with many incredible musicians, including Greg Phillinganes, John “JR” Robinson, Ethan Bortnick, Russell Ferrante, Ricky Lawson, David Choi, Tom Kubis, Candace Devine, Christafari, Avion Blackman, Solomon Jabby, Greg Bisonette, Carl Verheyen, and Patti Howard.

Ryan released his debut album in 2012 with all original instrumental music, available on iTunes.  His most recent project is a jazz trio arrangement of Holst’s Planets, coming soon.
