In another life I played the bassoon and I once had the privilege of performing Holst’s Planets in the university orchestra. When I put away the bassoon it struck me that I’d never get to play that beautiful music again, so I decided to arrange it for an ensemble more suited to my style.
Seven years later I finally finished the project and performed it 100 years after its original composition. This is the biggest project I have ever undertaken and I am excessively proud of it.
